Excursion to Minneapolis
Jan. 20th, 2007 05:51 pmToday was free for my mother and me (silly me, I could have sworn I typed me in the first place. ah well, it rhymes now.) and, as I wished to go on an excursion, we went to the new library in Minneapolis. It is a really lovely building. On the drive down there, we were driving towards a skyway and I could see the lovely blue sky as well as the reflection of the branches of a tree that was growing in front of it. It looked quite pretty.
I enjoyed wandering through the library and I found some interesting books about a girl who discovers knitting and some new knitting friends in the teen section. (I like the room where you can write on the walls.) We went to the gift and coffee shops on the way out and I got one of those handy MPLS messenger bags. It is very good for carrying books.
The other day I finished Stardust. It was lovely. I hope you are enjoying/did enjoy it, Jessa!
I'm looking forward to seeing Mattie's show tonight!
