Today was full of Minneapolis. We went to the new Guthrie and I took a tour of backstage, the stages, the costume shop, rehersal space, the shop and the lobbies. It was really cool. My dad and Uncle didn't want to take the tour though, so they went to the Mill City Museum instead. Then, this evening we went and watched british commercials at the walker. I love british commercials.

In the middle of the day I ran into Fable and Erin for a bit and it was lovely to see them, though only for a few minutes.

The only problem was that I had the sudden urge to read Stardust and couldn't find it at the only store I could get to.

you got to tour the new guthrie!?!?! Not fair!! You'll have to tell me about it during theater when we get back to school.

It was really cool! I will tell you about it. Maybe on the way to maplelag... It's such an amazing theatre.

I took that tour a few weeks ago. It's sort of weird how it's similar but not the same to the old Gurthrie, isn't it? When we went, there was this random man who stood in the not-for-public elevators and played his violin--but only when the doors were closed. When they were open he just sort of stood there and stared at us. Was he still there on your tour?

no, He's not there anymore. that would have been cool to see. and yes, it is really similar. At least the thrust stage is - I'd only seen one show at the old Guthrie so I only had a vague memory but it was indeed a lot like that vague memory. And it be really cool if my school had even 1% of the resources the Guthrie has for our theatre department. It's such a cool building.
