No wordcount yet today as I've been writing my research commission for theatre.

I did, however, make my lj background different colours and managed to change it without using LJ's pick a color feature which seems to be down.

In the options, I don't remember quite where, there is an option for putting something into a "blurb" on the sidebar.

what's a research commission?

You write a letter to an imaginary producer/actor/director/designer describing ideas for their show. Pretending that they have asked you a question, you research an answer and write a letter with that answer. It's basically a research paper in letter form.
