Oh, I just noticed, instead of "Update Journal" it says "Update Captain's log"! ^_^

technically i'm right-handed, but for some odd reason i tend to use my left hand when picking up a glass/beverage or using a knife

I didn't even notice it was talk like a pirate day until late today.. I think I'm a failure.

I am right handed, dear, and for some reason, monday night I was going through my jewelry, looking for some hair clips, and I found this ancient eye patch from a play in sixth grade. I thought, wouldn't it be fun to randomly wear this tomorrow?

And I did, but the funny thing is, I hadn't remembered it was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Really.

So I walk into school, and I see this girl wearing a full on pirate suit. For a second, I thought I hallucenating and it was Mandy at the end of the hallway. But no, it was just some girl... who happened to be wearing a very elaborate pirate suit.

I walk into the art room, and ask my friend, "Is it normal to walk down the hall and see a girl wearing a pirate suit?"

She looks at me funny and says, "Well, you're wearing an eyepatch."

I say "Oh. I forgot I had this on. I just thought it would be kind of fun to wear for no good reason."

She says "Wait, didn't you know it was International Talk Like a Pirate Day?"

I slam my head against various surfaces in the art room.

Ten minutes later, the schhol news comes on, and there is much banter about Pirates versus Ninjas versus Robots From Space, and then the anchors (who are wearing very large hats) verify that, yes, in fact, it is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and it IS a real holiday, and you must observe. :)

Our news is so cool.

Anyway, so now I'm thinking I'm just the smallest bit unconciously psychic.
