The Caesers is a pretty cool band (get Paper Tigers album, best tracks are spirit, jerk it out, winter song and paper tigers). Also, Moby, Matisyahu, Muse, The Postal Service, and Switchfoot. I like Jars of Clay a lot but they're Christian so I don't know if that would be your type, though some of the songs aren't Christian focused and Relient K is like that too and they're pretty good. So, yeah, hope that helps.

Aw, not "It's not the fall that hurts?" (Okay, it might not be that good but it's the only one I've ever heard on the radio). But I second Caesars Palace.

its doubtful youd like the music i like, so ill just say some of the more popular bands, a lot of which you probably won't like.

U2, violent femmes, Beck, Cake, CCR, Nirvana, R.E.M

thats all i can think of off the top of my head. if you want some of my music just ask.

- The Moody Blues (particularly "Days of Future Passed").
- Rin', which is a Japanese group that combines traditional Japanese instruments and styles with sort of a modern pop sound, into something completely awesome.
- Rockapella, especially the Carmen Sandiego song.
- Soundtrack to the musical Notre Dame de Paris -- en français!
- Soundtrack to the old version of Return of the King (the animated one...) because it is amusing.
- Paris Combo - en français
- Martin Hörngren because he is cool and his music is freely downloadable. http://martinhorngren.com/mp3.htm Swedish music is cool.

Others that I can't think of at the moment. If you want to hear some, ask me, since a few of those might be hard to find...

Which would that be? Tuesday Afternoon? Or Nights in White Satin? I think those are the two most known ones...

Ah. I'm not sure I've heard question... Days of Future Passed is my favorite since it has them playing with the London Philharmonic (I think). It's gorgeous.

They Might Be Giants! ... wait...

Anyway, for some of my oddly obscure-yet-awesome (in my opinion) music:
- The Ketchup Song, preferably by this weird brass band called Guildo Horn. It's... odd.
- Nightwish (you might've heard Erin and me talking about this, maybe not. The best songs are spread out among many albums, which is a pity.)
- O-Zone (which did more than the Numa Numa song. They only have one album but some of the tracks are pretty sweet.)
- Wir Sind Helden (which is maybe my favorite German band. Try to find the music video for their song Nur Ein Wort. It's hard to find but I know where, it's just really confusing. Anyway, I've only heard a couple of their songs (Nur Ein Wort and Gekommen Um Zu Bleiben) but they're pretty cool.)
- For weird music, try the Mirrormask soundtrack.
- Bond, which is classical music sped up.
- ELO, or the Electric Light Orchestra. There's an imitator. Get the real thing.
- Enya, particularly some of the tracks off A Day Without Rain.
- Fiamma Fumana, Italian folk music made techno (sort of).
- The King's Singers, especially their albums with them singing Beatles music a capella/madrigal style (Six is one, there might be another)

...that's not too many recommendations, is it? I could go on, but most of the other music I like, I just have one song off iTunes of it so I can't really tell you that group or whatever as a whole. Because the other stuff might be horrible.

I'd like to second Nightwish (I agree about the best songs being spread out...), and also Enya.

URINETOWN! one of the best musicals ever...on a clear day(you can see forever)...not the barbara streisand version...um...on the twentieth century...i'm sorry...musicals are good. if we're ever not busy in theatre, you should listen to some of them.
