Hey, so, because LJ both continues to have long amounts of downtime and occasionally comes up with problematic policies, I would like to shift myself more to DW rather than my current state of never on DW. Once I've gone through my whole journal, I will send all the entries here over there as well and cross post. But! Who are you on Dreamwidth? I'm sbrackett. Those only on LJ, don't worry, everything will still be here too. Those on DW, who are you? Do you have any advice on shifting my weight from entirely on LJ to evenly on the two?

I have a lot of thoughts that happened to occur to me when LJ was down but this is a more pressing post in a practical way.

ETA: This does not mean I wish to leave LJ, just that I wish to have my DW activity go up.

Well, it depends on the degree to which you want overlap in readers, but it might be an idea to add your other account(s) to your user profiles here, there, and elsewhere (fb, g+, twitter). Actually, your dreamwidth profile is probably due for an update anyways. You can also use this opportunity to go through your tags and filters to see whether you'd like to refine them. Dreamwidth was looking at having nesting category tags (like politics:wisconsin, politics:norway, politics:american) awhile back. I haven't checked to see where things are at with that yet, but I did recall it looking like a useful improvement. I don't know the extent to which it translates in cross-posting though.

You already know who I am on the ones where we both are. This reminds me to get around to adding a few more people though.
