Those of you to whom this does not apply, sorry, just ignore this.

To whom it may concern,

So. Like I said before, I have this mad idea to go to Readercon. And I have enough money to buy myself a membership, and some gas for driving out there and for a bed-space in a hotel room. What I do not have, however, is a car that can be taken all the way from the Twin Cities to Boston.

What I need, then, is some friendly person or persons who would be willing to travel with me and who have a car. I do not know of such persons right now, but if you do, please let me know.

I will also be abroad for a month starting this Saturday so I should really plan this soon if I want to go. Which might make planning impossible but I might be able to get internet while abroad. We'll see.

Sorry, I'm not in the area. But I was wondering -- did you consider busing? With the price of gas being what it is, busing might end up being the same price.

Mm. I should look up prices for that/possibility of it working. Carpool is easier because it doesn't depend on making pre arranged times as much (or rather it is possible to call people you're carpooling with) but, depending on price, bussing is definitely an option.

No, that's true--wouldn't have been much help even if I was driving, I guess. *g*
