Mar. 10th, 2011 07:38 pmAside from everything else, passing bills without quorum takes away the right of citizens to have a say. Citizens who are represented by those who were not at the Wisconsin capitol cannot have their say because their representative was not given the chance to vote. It pisses me off that Scott Walker weaseled his bill through without a full quorum, especially after how long the protests have been going. That does not seem fair at all. He doesn't listen to the people of Wisconsin, the people he's supposed to be caring for.
That doesn't seem like democracy. I am really angry about this, but I don't know what I can do, if voting no longer guarantees that the government will listen to all representatives. If thousands of people can protest for weeks and not be heard.
