[livejournal.com profile] tithenai came up with this.

There are sites that make me feel like I'm sitting in someone's living room. There are others that make me feel like I'm seated in the audience, watching stand-up or a play. There are others who make me feel like I'm wandering fairytale woods, others that make me feel like I've come in from the cold.

So I ask you. If my blog were a place, what would it look like? Tell me how you found your way here, and share the question if you're so inclined, that I might answer it for you.

It is time for me to head off to Thanksgiving in Madison. It will be nice to spend a weekend in town. I'm looking forward to seeing my family, especially my younger brother. He started college this year! I'm sure we'll have many stories to tell each other.

Your blog makes me feel like I'm at overnight camp and we're all hanging around a campfire telling stories and just chatting about our lives.

There is a river and a forest in this blog, and sometimes one glimpses you between a tangle of branches, and sees you smiling or murmuring a song to the fragrance in the air.

Three ancient marble columns on a cliff by the sea are all tangled in bracken and brambles. There are paths you can follow and thickets you can hide in as you listen to the waves below and the gulls above. It is just spring and you can see green buds peeping out from amid the dead leaves and brown twigs, but it's still cold enough that your breath fogs and you stuff your hands into your pockets and wish you had brought mittens.

(This isn't to say that I feel your blog is an emotionally chilly or distant place; it just always gives me late fall/early spring vibes.)
