Apparently Great Big Sea gets passed along in my family. A couple months ago, I had just gone to my second concert, and posted a status relating to this concert on Facebook. My mom's co-worker saw this and commented that she also liked the band. My dad and I were later talking on IM and he asked me about the band and I linked him to some youtube videos of their songs (Captain Kidd and England in case anyone is wondering). Apparently this led to Dad buying two albums. This also apparently led to my mom and her coworker to discuss Great Big Sea. A third coworker became interested and is now a Great Big Sea fan. Yay. My parents now want to go to a concert too.

I love how Great Big Sea keeps being passed along in a big cycle. I had just gotten to Beloit when my friends were saying "We're going to go to a concert. A Great Big Sea concert." and I had no idea who Great Big Sea was but I liked my friends so I went along. And now I'm passing it along to my parents and my mom's coworker and they'll pass it along to who knows who.
