Apr. 30th, 2010 10:09 amToday I am twenty. It is strange to start a new decade.
I am glad that this month in which I am born is the national poetry month, for poetry is one of my favorite things. I'm not so sure about how I feel about it being the cruelest month. All months are cruel sometimes and all months are glorious sometimes. I hope this next decade will have more glorious days than cruel ones and more poem-days than not.

Date: 2010-04-30 03:43 pm (UTC)Happy birthday, Sweetheart! I almost spelt "Sweet" as "Sweat" and that's just disgusting.
April is not the cruelest month. That's February's job. April is filled with new beginnings and color and warmth (most of the time, except for the occasional freak snowstorm). Your birthday is on a sunny day, so you should enjoy it.

Date: 2010-04-30 08:07 pm (UTC)It is weird to not be a teenager. Slightly surreal.

Date: 2010-05-05 10:51 pm (UTC)Cruelty and glory both have their place I suppose but I'm rooting for the flowers/mad laughter/branches/mud/rocks/water poetry aspect to have a chunk of your time too (though I suppose that might be glory).
