Oct. 2nd, 2009 06:28 pmWe learned about atlatl teams at various colleges in archaeology and prehistory today. I then announced that we should start one to my class in general and got statements of assent. Our professor said that this has been brought up before and it usually goes along quite nicely until people notice their lack of free time in which to throw spears.
This afternoon I walked to the library. I got stacks of books (including Nisi Shawl's Filter House, China Miéville's The City and the City, and Ursula K. LeGuin's Changing Planes). I've been curled up in my room with A Sudden Wild Magic, one of the few Diana Wynne Jones that I haven't yet read.

But.
Yeah.
China Miéville! Second best author ever. <3

Out of curiosity, do you have the copy with the bookflap that has the phrase 'conquer the mighty fortress through internal dissension, psychological sabotage and kamikaze sex'?
