Aug. 15th, 2009 10:54 amLast night I was feeling melancholy and upset. Then I wrote about robots and felt much better. I'm not sure what this says about me.
Sometimes I get bored and decide to add various ingredients to melted chocolate. Because of the brownie recipe in the comments of
tithenai's post I added pinches of cinnamon and chipotle powder. (It is too hot out to make actual brownies.) The result was quite delicious. I like my chocolate better when it has spice added to it. What is your favorite way to eat chocolate?

Date: 2009-08-16 02:19 pm (UTC)My feeling about horses is, I want to be a horse aunt. I wrote some horse books a while back, and the research confirmed for me that I wasn't drawn to horses enough to be up for all the work and money they require--but that I did like hanging around other people's horses, giving them treats, grooming them and getting the rocks out of their hooves, going on the occasional ride--and then happily returning them to their parents. :-)

Date: 2009-08-16 04:55 am (UTC)That being said, I am a fond believer in the idea that multiple flavors should be mixed together: crackly chocolate glaze over creamy chocolate cheesecake with a flaky chocolate shell. Hot chocolate fudge dripping thick over warm brownies and chocolate cake, with white chocolate drizzled over it. One chocolate, by itself, seems too...lonely.

Date: 2009-08-16 05:03 am (UTC)Chili-chocolate is one of my favorites. I particularly like chili chocolate and cinnamon. I like non-chocolate flavors with my chocolate. I like the texture of truffles. I like cheesecake too, though I prefer non-chocolate cheesecake.
