I would like to have more of a writing community. A group that I can gather around myself and send writing to. I know that I know many people and that some of them I can send writing to. I know that there are many different groups of people out there reading this entry and that the writing communities that they'd form overlap and form interstices in interesting ways.

I would like to know who is interested in reading what I write and giving me comments. I would like to find people to give comments to. For the BSFFAs reading this, yes, there was ADSN last semester and I'd like that to continue. What I'm trying to find is a comfortable group. A group of friends. People to talk to. To make silly jokes but also have serious discussions. Everything that I have right now is so spread apart and much of it is not connected to me very intimately.

aamcnamara posted recently about finding writing friends. What I am looking for is probably not only a writing group (and possibly not a writing group at all but I do want more people who can give me comments) but to begin to show more writing to my closer friends and to develop better friendships with writing people. I want you to become real people and not just usernames on a screen.

I want people. Writing. Friends. And I want all of it together.

I think Beloit writing groups might work better if it is a collective group of people who will comment on each other's work rather than the format ADSN took this past year.
