Tonight was the Doctor Who viewing and discussion at my local library. It was more viewing than discussion, really. We talked about some things but they were not particularly discussion things but more "what do we want to see next?" There seemed to be a consensus that we ought to watch things with K-9 and Sarah Jane next. I'm not sure if I will be in college for next month's showing or not but if I am home I will attend.

We watched a series of episodes called "Gunfighters". It involved the first Doctor, Dodo, and Steven in the story of the Earps and Doc Holiday. I liked it quite a bit; it was enjoyable and interesting to see that story with the Doctor involved. After we watched the episodes, we were told that this sequence of episodes apparently has the reputation of being not as good but we all disagreed with this.

In other news, shadesong has posted this about the supposed "graying of fandom" and what it is important to give teens at conventions as well as asking what teens do want from conventions.

I wish my library did Doctor Who showings. I've never seen any of the old Who and I don't really watch tv enough that I want to find them online, even though I know they're there.

Perhaps you will find people who own old Who at college and they will show it to you!
