I crave autumn. Autumn seems to hold more magic, hiding it in cold air and crisp breezes. Summer weather is too blunt and hot. Autumn has spices and pumpkin and layers of secrets. It is a softer, older season.

Today was cooler than it had been lately and I wrote and read and drank tea.

DUDE, me too! I keep trying to be happy with summer while it's here, because it's summer and it won't last long, but I miss the feel of leaves under my feet and the colors and smells of mid October. I miss the Barefoot People, too.
