I went down to the basement today and heard lots of thumping noises. It turns out a chipmunk had gotten itself caught in the egress window so my dad and I took one of the boards I'd been tearing off the deck over there to give it something to climb on. The chipmunk proceeded to jump around in the window for a while away from the board. (There was one corner it really liked to jump at.) Once Dad and I went inside to watch it through the window it finally discovered that the board was climbable and not out to get it (after a series of jumps at the window) and escaped.

Belinda is coming over soon and we will make things and drink tea. Hooray!

Oh no! It was probably the first of a chipmunk invasion and now you let it return to bring back to bring the others!

Or maybe not. Poor chipmunk.
