I've been reading a conversation about magic and how the best kinds are the unexpected small wonders. Things in books like Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (Susanna Clarke) or Little, Big (John Crowley). Or In the Forest of Forgetting (Theodora Goss).

I've been reading plenty of Little, Big lately as well as spending time by myself writing, drawing and beading. I might be achieving a balance between school work, free time with others and free time on my own. I can always keep working on it.

I am too curious not to post this:

Huh. Two words would be easy. I could go with "deliberately whimsical" or "hyper boggan" or "joyful threnody." Just one word, though?
