I am reading 813.54

I love libraries and Dewey Decimal numbers. I spent about an hour and a half sitting in various parts of my college's library (which is mysteriously organized by Dewey Decimal not LoC.) I looked at the book binding section (655s or so), the children's books (813s but separated), the origins of the English language section (420s) and the general fiction (813a). It was lovely and now I have an idea for a story.

I...never thought that there were college libraries out there that didn't use LoC! How very bizarre.

When I was a page at my local public library, my favorite places to sneak off to were always the 410-20s, the 300s (sociology), the 641s (foooood), and then the massive (to me) biography section that we had in the back :)

I did not either until I got to my college. Also mysteriously, my local library back home is organized by LoC. Maybe at one point they organized a plot to trade systems with each other.

I have an idea in my head about a girl living in a library, but it will have to wait until after NaNo. Libraries are marvellous things!
