I love cities. I love to live in them and to read about them. (Perdido Street Station, Bordertown) I love the interwoven pockets, each with their own flavor and feeling. I love the mystery that the corners hold, especially when you're reading about them. I love exploring the areas which I have not looked at before. I love creating my own, lines of pencil on paper. I love the feel of the air at night after a play. I love going to museums and bookshops. I love finding small unique stores. I love cities.

Neverwhere. Thoughts?

I like Neverwhere. It has /two/ cities. Somewhat like Un Lun Dun. Perhaps one and a half. mm, cities.

I know what you mean. I've long thought that I should either live in the middle of a city or out in the middle of nowhere. It's the suburbs that bother me. I do much better with extremes. Everywhere has pros and cons, and the more intensely you invest yourself the more intensely you will experience both the good and the bad points. I love the culture of cities, and feeling like I'm making a friend.
